Welcome to Raj Bhavan, the highest institution of the state, where grandeur meets tradition, and celebrations soar to new heights. Within these hallowed walls, every occasion is observed and celebrated with unparalleled spirit and fervor.

1) Amidst the stately walls of Raj Bhavan, where history gracefully converges with the present, a timeless tradition prevails - the rightful celebration of our nation's Republic Day and Independence Day. On both the, occasions, the Governor unfurls/hoists the national flag. Besides, a mandatory celebration of 'At Home’ takes place in the precinct of Raj Bhavan. Dignitaries and luminaries from diverse domains gather their presence as homage to the shared legacy that binds us as a nation. A distinguished sports icons, cultural maestros, and award winners also assemble. On the auspicious occasions of 15th August and 26th January, Raj Bhavan stands as a beacon of tradition, where the tapestry of our nation's past, present and future is woven with threads of pride, patriotism, and promise.

2) Raj Bhavan, Assam embraces the essence of our constitution by commemorating the Constitution Day, a time that reflects on the values and principles that shape our democracy. It serves as a reminder of the power vested in the people and the commitment to upholding the ideals that govern our great nation.

3) With an aim to achieve a strong mind with a strong body , Raj Bhavan celebrates the International Day of Yoga on 21st June every year. Amidst serene surroundings, practitioners from all walks of life converge to celebrate the harmony between mind, body, and spirit.

4) Raj Bhavan also celebrates Statehood Days/Foundation Days of every state and union territory of our nation. The celebration marks as an occasion to pay gratitude to the rich cultural heritage and the unique identities that make each state and union territory special. Colorful displays, diverse performances, and traditional delicacies showcase the vibrant tapestry of India's unity in diversity.

5) In an attempt to create awareness and action for the protection of the environment, Raj Bhavan celebrates the World Environment Day annually on 5th June. Special plantation drives are also carried out on this day where school students and other NGOs actively participate.

6) Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated at Raj Bhavan with utmost reverence. Rich floral tributes are paid to Gandhi Ji, the Father of our Nation. The day is also is honored through insightful discussions, and initiatives that embody his teachings of peace, non-violence, and social justice.

7) In the heart of Raj Bhavan, a special day unfolds to commemorate the valor of Lachit Borphukan, the legendary Ahom general. On this Day, The Hon’ble Governor along with the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan pays homage to the Great Warrior and also remembers his rare qualities head and heart.

8) Raj Bhavan also commemorates the Death Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a visionary and champion of social justice. Raj Bhavan pays homage to his extraordinary contributions in shaping our nation's destiny, ensuring that his ideals of equality, empowerment, and inclusivity continue to inspire generations to come.

9) In remembrance to the great legend Dr Rajendra Prasad, who contributed every bit for freedom and justice and led the nation to growth and prosperity, Raj Bhavan celebrates the birth anniversary of the great soul. Raj Bhavan, Assam also has a lifelike statue of the First President of the nation, Bharat Ratna Dr Rajendra Prasad.
